Veterans Day

In 1918, when the First World War ended, November 11 has been commemorated in the USA as the day when everyone who has ever served or who is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces is celebrated.

Veterans Day is also known as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in countries like the UK or Germany. The date, November 11, marks the end of World War I, when the armistice with Germany was signed.  Nowadays, besides the great importance of the national holiday, Americans across the nation enjoy the day off and do their best to spend this day in a way that honors military veterans.
